What Causes Fluid Filled Blister On The Nose?

default
Posted on Tue, 5 Jul 2016
Question: Hi there, was wondering if someone can help me ease my mind a bit.

I have cold sore..the first time I had it was a blister noticeable size that was fill with clear fluid. That was about 5 months ago.

Just yesterday morning I saw a red pointy pin sized raised dot (hard to see). So I popped it..and I want to say there could be clear or yellow fluid.

So today I still see a pointy red pin sized but in the centre it's a blackish/browish dot in centre.
Kind of like when you squeezed out the black head on your nose it leaves a tiny tiny hole.

could that be a cold sore?
it's a bit itchy, but not all the time. If it is a cold sore I would just know right? It would be a blister filled with clear fluid with a size that's noticeable like the first time I had it.
actually I'm not sure if it was pointed or not...i think it was...it was too tiny to tell. But i do know it was pretty hard when I touched without pressure with the qtip. And when I pressed it down it was pretty hard I had to pressed it with pressure to pop it...

Please help thank you

Brief Answer:
Possible Infected Boil?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your attached images as well.

This seems to be an Infected boil.

It's important to control the secondary infection at the earliest.

I generally prescribe topical Soframycin ointment to my patients with such symptoms.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe this medication to you.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you

quite frankly I'm tired of going to doctors I went to..they are not much of a help. Couple of them made me felt even more anxious...

now...my other question is that...if it is a cold sore I would know right? It would be a blister filled with clear fluid which was what I had it the first time.

I'm concerned because I'm reading on internet, and I see these people writing how some cold can be so tiny you don't even notice it

Brief Answer:
Possible bacterial infection?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

This does not seem to be a Cold sore.

As Cold sore is extremely painful and tender with a grouped vesicular appearance.

Topical antibiotic application is sufficient to heal the sore in your case.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you.
