Question: Problem with my left ear. Doctor thought it was infection abd orescibed antibiotics but the fluid formationtinues. There is a "growth" formation which now almost closes my ear. Now the Dr. is recommending a CT Scan. What is your advice? I kike ri know more. Thank yuou

Usually, the fluid behind the ear drum will be absorbed gradually and the pain will be better after treating the infection with the antibiotic.

But if they are not seeing improvement and if they see a growth formation, then it is important to see that in more details to rule out what it is. It may be just wax, but it may also be a cancer. And if it is a cancer it should be removed as soon as possible because if it spreads it may go to your brain very quickly, because the ear is very close to the brain.
