Question: Hello,
I am 72 years old. I had a fever (low grade) for two days, a bit of vomit, a bloated stomach. Now I am better, but no bowel movement and still bloated. I also have back pain on my right side, but it might be a muscle pull as I hauled some things around.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/72 - hauled somethings around- low grade fever for 2 days - bit of vomit - bloating of stomach - better but no bowel movements - and stool bloated - back pain on right side...

All the symptoms look to be due to exertion and may be bit of dehydration in spite of your taking water, tea, soup and eating some pasta.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Take rest.
Increase input of water/liquids.
Take a mild laxative to ease the bowel movement.
Take PPI like Omeprazole as yo had vomiting and acidity does increase with such challenges.
Take medicine like paracetamol or so whichever suits you as it will help ease the pain in the back, you may apply some rubrafacient liniments to sooth the muscles locally.

See the results, if well improved you will be fine.
If no improvement consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, investigations and treatment.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communications.
