Question: I have a temp of 96.7 ... feel like i have a fever and my forehead feels clammy..
i have gone to my doctor ... have had blood drawn twice. I haven't heard anything about the last blood tests yet. I have a rare blood type ... a mediteranian thing..my blood platlets are smaller than normal..like anemia. This issue with a feeling of a fever, some dizziness and clammy head has been going on for weeks...any idea's?

Brief Answer:
These are the symptoms of anemia and not to worry!

Detailed Answer:
Hi! thanks for your query!

As per your description, you might have anemia as feeling of fever, sweating, chills, dizziness and clammy head along with cold periphery/low temperature are all features of anemia whatever may be the cause behind it!

Platelets could be small in size but the number is more important and not to worry until you have any bleeding symptoms.

could a urinary tract infection give the same symptoms? My urine has been yellow'ish in color and milky/cloudy for a while now ..which is why i have been drinking more water. I have problems with constipation and acid reflux. I take omeprazole daily for that issue. This winter has been tough, myself and family members all came down with the flu which stayed with us for weeks. After much of the flu symptoms went away ...i was left with the problem I have now. I did have a slight absess in my gum some weeks ago and was given penisilin (10 day course) by my dentist which did not seem to aleve my ongoing feeling of fever\chills and clammy head.

Brief Answer:
Infective causes are unlikely!

Detailed Answer:
Hi! urinary tract infection or any other type of infection would cause high temperature therefore that are unlikely until you have a high WBC/ESR in your blood.

Also thyroid problems and low/high blood sugar could be related in your case.

Please revert back to me if any new feedback.

Wishing you good health,
