Question: Hi, Not sure if you are able to answer my question as its more of a cosmetic one. I had restylane dermal filler for my laughter lines on Tuesday. This may be a coincidence but i have come down with a high temp coughing and sore throat. I have been to my Dr and have antibiotics. I have started to worry that this is caused by the restylane. I have no redness or swelling at the site of injection.

Many thanks XXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Most probably just a coincidence, nothing to worry about ma'am

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Fortunately enough, this was just a coincidence as restyane side effects only include swelling, itching, redness, pain or bruising at the site of the injection and nothing more.

The temperature does indicate the presence of an infection, but the antibiotics prescribed will only really help if the source of the infection is bacterial, else the antibiotics will only be prophylactic treatment.

Go ahead and purchase a disinfectant like betadine mouth wash and also gargle your mouth with lukewarm water and less than a pinch of salt in it several times a day. Mild pain management medication can also be used with an anti-inflammatory action to help relieve you of any discomfort if present.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

My 13 year old daughter has complained of twisty upset stomach for 3 days now. She had a low-grade fever, but it is gone. Today she s still complaining of an upset stomach, not menstrual cramps . No vomiting , no diarrhea . She says it s not stress or anxiety , but she doesn t feel well enough to go to school. Could she have a bug or strep? In the past she had these symptoms and no sore throat, but turned out she had strep. I m debating whether to take her to the doctor because if it s viral, the doctor can t give her anything anyway, but then again, it could be strep. I think she really doesn t feel well, but my husband thinks she s faking. She said the pain was 7 on a scale of 1-10, today 6.

I am having fever, diarrhea, sometimes watery, some abdominal and lower back pain, with a sore throat and a cough that just started. I am a specific patient, as I have had a total colectomy and hysterectomy. Any idea if this requires a trip to ER? I am moderately dehydrated as well.

My whole body all of a sudden started aching, I have a sore throat and a stuffy nose. My head literally feels like it is about to explode. I get really dizzy when I stand up and every muscle in my body is sore and tingly. Is this just a summer flu or something I should be more concerned about? It all of a sudden just hit me today and no onset signs.
