Brief Answer: Thyroid Detailed Answer: Thyroid has no known association with red feet If your mom has diabetes, it would be a good idea to screen yourself for diabetes too by performing a simple blood test called HbA1c. This does not require fasting and can be done at any time of the day. The best test however is the Oral Glucose Tolerance test that requires 8 to `4 hours fasting and a blood sample taken at 0 hours ie fasting then 2 hours after a 75 gram glucose challenge
