What Causes Feeling Swelling In My Body With Normal X Rays?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jun 2014
Question: I have swelling in my body that feels like tumors because of the bone fusion in my neck down to my buttocks. the doctors can not see the swelling because of the fusion in my body. I have had many mri's, xrays and nothing shows up. the doctor put me on larazapam, busiporn and escaltrapron to keep the swelling down. I have been tested for allergies and was not allergic to anything however, the swelling is getting worse to the point that I feel it in my throat it impacts my walking, eating and I wear a mask to keep from breathing contaminated air. it all started with mold in my home and I had leave my home because I could not live there. I have air purifiers in all of my rooms in my apartment because of mold spores that came into the apartment by someone who brought something in from my home that was contaminated with mold spores. What can I do to get the swelling down in my body.

Brief Answer:
Antipsychotics will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The fact that your doctor on examination and investigation could not identify any swelling gives rise to a possibility that it could be a delusional disorder. I am not saying that you are faking the illness, you certainly feel and think so. In delusional disorder the person will have these sensations and feelings which will be negated by a doctor on investigations and examination. This problem settles down on usage of antipsychotics like seranace or pimozide. These medications will surely reduce your distress and improve your quality of life as well.
Dont go for any further investigations and instead get hold of a psychiatrist in your area to get an opinion.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
