Brief Answer:
The pain attributed to Calcium Vit D and B 12 def

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The new symptoms of pain in the thighs while walking can be attributed to several causes. If the pain increases on walking certain distance. The distance has to be noted and we should understand if the walking distance is reduced before the pain increases and you stop to walk. This is called intermittent claudication where the arteries in the legs are unable to supply the blood required for walking. In such a case a detailed doppler study is needed. You should see a vascular surgeon.

Now the other reasons are also few. Vitamin B12, Vit D OH and Calcium are low. They also cause pain while walking and even on rest. Being a strict vegeterian I suppose you have Vit B12, Calcium deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common these days.

The ESR is high and that indicates something is not right in the body. TSH is high which points towards low thyroxine levels however a complete thyroid profile is needed to comment anything further.

So I suggest you for a detailed evaluation from a local doctor especially Internal Medicine / Endocrinologist is needed in the first place. If he refers you can meet a surgeon as mentioned earlier.

Hope this is clear.
