Brief Answer:
palpitations

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You mention that you have been feeling light headed, tired and dizzy recently. Along with the symptoms you have also noted a pronounced heart beat and occasional irregular heart beat. These symptoms all are associated with several conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hypo or hyperthyroidism. To be sure you are healthy you will need additional blood work. I strongly recommend that you seek medical attention for this blood work.

In diabetes the symptoms would be excessive hunger, thirst and frequent urination. With time additional symptoms can cause irregular heart beats anxiety and fatigue. It is controllable with medication diet and exercise.

Hypertension does not usually have symptoms but with unctorrled hypertension there can be fast or irregular heart beats and fatigue. This is usually diagnosed at your doctors visit by just doing a blood pressure check. Treatment again just requires medication, diet and exercise.

The last thing and more likely the cause of your symptoms is hypo or hyperthyroidism. This is caused by your thyroid gland being over or underactive. Either way the symptoms include both palpitations or irregular heart rates fatigue and changes to fingernails. This is diagnosed with blood work and treated with medication

In summary
1. Seek medical attention for more complete exam and lab work
2. Possible diabetes or elevated blood sugars
3. Possible hypertension
4. Hypo or hyperthyroidism
5. Blood work and exam will help find the cause of your symptoms

I hope this answers your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns or questions
