Brief Answer:
ativan cannot cause for false positive

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern for your son.

Ativan cannot cause false positive results for suboxone. I have tried to search for pesticides exposure but no evidence found about that also. From available information it seems that there is no substance in his case which can cause false positive result for suboxone.

Let me know if he has taken any other medicine like for allergy or any OTC drug.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Brief Answer:
Which test was done, urine or blood?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for follow up. I am extremely sorry for delayed response due to some work.

Suboxone contains burenorphine which is an opioid. There are natural opioids in the body but they cannot give false positive results as their concentration is so much low that it cannot be detected with screening tests.

There are lots of medications which can give false positive results for opioid. Whatever you have read about body enzyme giving false positive is not feasible in routine. Can you send me that article for verification?
A coincidental false-positive test could also result from the way in which lactate dehydrogenase(enzyme you are talking about) and lactate interfere with assays for commonly abused substances such as opiates. Hence, urine from a patient who is at risk for lactic acidosis (eg, one with diabetes mellitus, liver disease, or a toxin ingestion) should undergo additional confirmatory testing.

- Also let me know which test was applied blood or urine?

- Does he have any physical illness?

Feel free to discuss further.
