Posted on Fri, 17 Jun 2016
Question: Hi. My eyelids flicker just in the corner sometimes. Not sure why but has been happening alittle bit now. Its just in the outside corner of my eye like a flutter/flicker very quickly for a second and then stops. I wear glasses and the ones i have are a new pair around five months old. Ive been to a ophthamologist around 3 mths ago because i had pain but they said my eyes are fine but the way i sleep sometimes is with my hand between the pillow and my face and they said it pushed on my eyeball during sleep . Any help or advice would be great. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Eye lid flickering incorner considered to be tits may be linked to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Flickering and twitching of eye lid or any part is generally tits. Its cause is not known. Some time it is related to anxiety. Must try to control anxiety. Yoga and meditation may help. That is a posture you are adopting due to habit. But I donot see any direct link between the two. You can try to rectify and leave this habit. Since there is neurological element you can consult neurologist for examination and advice. Refraction can be done again and try the correction and compare it with earlier correction. You can yourself judge the better acceptance. Fund-us examination may be done to asses the retinal health. IOT may be measured if it is in higher side then field tracing may be done.If every thing is normal then it is OK or treatment have to be started. All muscle movement of eye is to be recorded.More likely it is a tits and related to anxiety.Neurological element is a probability. It is not linked to epilepsy.
