What Causes Eye Twitching?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Feb 2015
Question: Dear Dr. XXXXXXX

There's something I forgot to include in my last follow up question today.
For this all you have to do is let me know if what I've understood is correct.
Thanks in advance.

1. Extremely rapid trembling of lights, shadows, or other things that are SIMILAR TO eye twitching effects (BOTH in a DARK ROOM and BRIGHT ROOM) do not suggest any occipital lobe problems or serious neurological conditions. Having problems in the cerebellum might lead to such conditions but since I don't show other symptoms associated with cerebellum diseases, it can be ruled out as well.
Whether what I'm experiencing is due to eye twitching or not, at least I don't have to worry about neurology related diseases.

Correct?

Thank you for getting back.

You are absolutely correct in your understanding.

At this point of time, you do not have any features of occipital lobe or cerebellar disease and you need not worry about having a serious neurological disease.

I hope my reply has helped you.
