Brief Answer:
Hyperthyroidism

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.

While I was reading your query the diagnosis of Hyperthyroidism was striking my mind but after reading complete details I came to know that you are already a known person with Hyperthyroidism.
This is your answer.
People with Hyperthyroidism have very high Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and they tend to sweat a lot.
Treatment lies in controlling Hyperthyroidism and taking Propanolol to the best tolerated doses.
Even if your Hyperthyroidism is controlled you would have this difficulty but can be controlled to some extent with the help of Propanolol.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

What is Propanolo, and what would be the dosage? BTW, have you seen other people who sweat terribly and could it be the Fentynal?

I cannot find the drug named--- Propanolol

Brief Answer:
It is a Beta Blocker

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Propranolol is a very famous medicine of the class Beta Blocker and should be taken under your doctor's prescription.

It's very common to found people with hyperthyroidism sweating profusely.

In fact , in people without any cause, there is a condition called as Idiopathic Hyperhidrosis and that also causes excessive sweating.

This problem is very unlikely to be due to Fentanyl.

Good Luck

Why would I need a beta blocker for the sweating? Do I have a heart problem that is not being addressed? Is there any other condition which causes sweating that I can take o my GP? XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
To control anxiety due to Hyperthyroidism

Detailed Answer:
Propranolol is indicated to control the pulse rate as well as anxiety which occurs in people suffering from Hyperthyroidism which in turn can reduce the sweating.

I have not mentioned Propranolol for any cardiac issues in your case.

Your doctor would examine and evaluate you for the same and would prescribe you Propranolol.

If you have any further query, please ask me.
