Question: My husband has has some episodes of leaning back and to the right while hiking down hill without dizziness or any other symptoms. He can stand straight when made aware of the issue. We had done a moderate 5 mile hike.
I just want to ask this question and do not want a monthly subscription.

Brief Answer:
Presently based on the information I don't think it is anything serious

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
I would like to know few more information like is this posture noted when he is walking on plan ground or when doing normal day today activities. Does he has any pain while walking. Has he pulled back muscle recently?

In the absence of pain and if he is not maintaining this posture while walking in normal ground, I don't think you should be worried. But to reduce your anxiety about this issue you can take him to orthopedic surgeon for examination.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.

He has had five episodes that all occurred during the last part of our hike while walking downhill. He does not have any back problems and has not had any pain. During these downhill hikes he Leans to the right about 35 degrees and leans back, so it is upsetting. We stopped to rest a couple times but his balance was not correct until we were on level ground for awhile.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry, can visit orthopedician to clear your doubt

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for coming back.
In the absence of general physical examination, and based on your information that is he does not have any pain, he walks normally in even grounds, I feel it is nothing serious, you should not worry about it. He might have developed this over period of time, you might not have noticed it. It's like you can imagine different people sit chair differently, but there is no abnormalities in them.

But I feel as you are anxious, you can get him examined br the orthopedician once, that will clear your doubt.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
