What Causes Elevated White Blood Cell And Neutrophils Count?
Question: my wbc is 14.7, my Abs Neutrophil is 10.9, and my Abs Lymphocyte is 3.5. my doctor seems to be worried about this, but won't tell me why. can you tell me what this could mean?

This is an excellent question and I will work on providing you with some information and recommendations.
You have indicated that on your complete blood count laboratory test that your white blood cell count is mildly elevated. The neutrophils are moderately elevated as well. There are many many possible causes of this type of finding. What is important to consider is what your previous complete blood count showed over the last several years.
if this is a new change then we usually check another complete blood count in a short period of time to see if there is any trend. Sometimes infections with viruses or bacteria can cause an elevation of the total white blood cell count. It is possible that you might've been exposed to some type of virus and your immune system was activated.
Other considerations include some types of bone marrow disorders but it is premature to consider any of that at this time.
your doctor is appropriately concerned but this does not sound like any type of emergency. Subsequent complete blood count would be reasonable. Also it would be reasonable for your doctor to ask it pathologist to examine your blood under the microscope to see if there are any abnormalities.
additional more expensive and sophisticated testing can be done if the abnormalities persist or if there seems to be a trend in development of these up banalities over the years.
You also indicated that you do have multiple medical conditions which are probably controlled with medications. I would doubt that any medications which might be taking our contributing to this unless you're taking steroids such as prednisone.
