Brief Answer:
Most common cause is vitamin B12 deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

There are many causes of high MCV.

Most common cause is vitamin B12 deficiency.

Other causes are folic acid deficiency, alcoholism, liver disease, hypothyroidism etc.

You have high mcv with bleeding tendency.

So you should go for peripheral smear examination, reticulocyte count, liver function test, coagulation profile and serum vitamin B12 level.

This will help you to find exact cause. Then you should take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
