What Causes Electric Shock Sensation While Working Out?

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Jul 2014
Question: Sometimes I get an electric shock sensation while doing lunges in my workouts. A couple days ago my left big toe began feeling almost numb, but not really. It's not tingling or anything but it doesn't feel normal. I can feel hot/cold, sharp/dull sensations though. My shoes were slightly tight the night before the numbness feeling in my toe began and I cut my toenail a little too short. I'm worried I might be developing diabetes.

At age 20 there is less possibility of developing diabetes. You can check your blood sugar levels.
Do you have family history of diabetes. ?
Likely possibility of nerve compression in spine can be considered leading to toe numbness and electric sensation during lung work out.
