Brief Answer:
yes, please take her to the hospital

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having ear pain. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any ear discharge ?
Is your ear pan associated with cold (running nose or cough) ?

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be impacted wax or otitis externa.

Ciproxin contains ciprofloxacin, will not help in cerumen (wax) or fungal infection (common in elderly persons). You may require wax solvents with antibiotic course.

I suggest you to consult ent surgeon, get detailed ent examination for exact diagnosis.

Meantime, you can take pain killer like, tab. brufen 400mg twice daily. Avoid water into the ear by plugging with dry cotton buds (to prevent spread of infection).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
