Question: I have a little drainage in my right ear, not much. I have a very throbbing ache that seems to pulse from moderate to severe pain. Does feel like pressure in ear. Under ear down neck is sore to the touch. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain?

Brief Answer:
Otitis media

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query.
You are having otitis media probably due to some nasal or throat infection in the recent past.
The soreness under the ear might be due to a inflamed lymph node.
Use ciprofloxacin ear drops two to three times a day and take a combination of levocetirizine and phenylephrine twice daily.
Take Paracetamol for pain.
Take tablet cefixime 200 twice daily. It is a prescription medicine and is to be taken under guidance of doctor.
Take steam inhalation and chewing gum, this will help to decongest the eustachian tube and help relieve the symptoms.
Take all the medications for a week.
All the medicines I have described will be available only on prescription.
keep the ear dry.
Use a cotton plug while you take a bath.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Take care
Thanks and regards
