Brief Answer:
Possible gallbladder stones

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This pain location may be suggestive of gallbladder stones and this is not uncommon, even in his age. He should avoid fried, fatty and alcoholic food and drinks, have smaller meals but more frequently. Also, mentha tea and probiotics may help. It would be good to do gallbladder and liver ultrasound if pain persist. less possible, this pain may be sign of liver enlargement and this is seen in mononucleosis or hepatitis and some rare liver disorders. this should also be seen on ultrasound. Wish you good health. Regards
