Question: Hello. I am a 50 year old female diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I take latuda, lamictal, topamax, and Benadryl. I have had a recent bladder infection that was treated with macrobid. I was extremely allergic to macrobid and had flu like symptoms from it. The macrobid was never continued. I called my doctor before this happened and asked him to send me a lab slip because I was extremely hot at night without a fever. And I have noticed a bald spot near my bangs at ten top of my head. I got the lab results back and was told to take them to my regular doctor because they were abnormal. He drew blood for everything; cancer, CBC, liver, kidneys, fsh, estradiol, blood sugar etc. everything was normal except the creatinine of 1.15, Gfr of 55, alk phos. Of 176, and sgot of 39, and sgpt of 70. Not to mention the fsh was 98.1 and the estradiol was 34. I had a thermal ablation 2 years ago and haven't had a period since. I notice when I wake up in the morning I have a dull ache in my right pelvis if I don't urinate immediately. And I'm using the restroom to urinate ALL day long! Please help me. I have a doctor appointment Monday but if I don't get an answer before then I will worry. Also my k is 3.8 and my bun is 10.

Brief Answer: You can take antibiotic with psychotropic Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query. Whatever symptoms, you have mentioned, are towards urinary tract infection. Investigations are towards normal side, there is nothing to worry about them. In case of infection, you can take antibiotic with your medicine. If you have allergy form macrobid (nitrofurantoin), that mean, you can use antibiotic like amoxycillin-clavulinic acid or antibiotic after allergy test done. In case, you have more query, you can ask. Regards Dr. Abhishek Kapoor Psychiatrist

Brief Answer: These levels are normal to age Detailed Answer: Hi You are in menopausal phase, so in that case, estrogen level will be less. FSH helps to increase estrogen. So, according to your age, estrogen level is normal and FSH levels of 90 to 100 IU/L are not uncommon for postmenopausal women. Nothing to worry about it. It is normal according to your age.
