What Causes Dry Cough And Cold?
Question: I am cold- can't get warm--choking dry cough---eyes water-----pain in back and middle of neck---upper arms pain in core of arm --- abdominal cramps--lower bAck pain---skin hurts---can't get comfortable---restless and anxious---all this since this morning

Both cold and flu share similar symptom like a runny nose, sore throat, cough, body pain, watery eyes, feeling cold, fever etc. But symptoms of cold tend to be milder than the flu.
Here are few remedies you can try to help alleviate symptoms
-Take rest
-Drink plenty of fluids like water, fruit juice, and plain soups
-Discontinue tramadol, Use Tylenol (if not allergic) for the symptoms.
-Use saline nasal spray and steam inhalation to help relieve nasal congestion
-Warm salt water gargle to help relieve a sore throat
Please follow-up with a primary care provider if symptoms are severe. Your doctor can do an influenza test to diagnose Flu. Flu can be treated with antivirals, if started within 24 hours of onset of symptoms.
