Question: If I filler was injected in the glabella having a horrible reaction of swelling and a pulled forhead .Could it be that filler went directly into a vein in nose and will eventually make me go blind. My eyes swelled for 3 months ,My forhead and eyebrows dropped,I am now assymetric,my whole face is numb and my eyes went out of alignment and I now have double vision which started at 4 months.I am now 8 and a half months out with stiff misaligned eyes and a numb face.Could I still possibly go blind ?Or would that already have happened?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand that you have had Filler in Glabella and after that you have developed
1. Eyes swelling for 3 months
2. Forehead and eyebrows dropped,
3. Asymmetry of face
4. Numbness of face
5. Eyes went out of alignment
6. Double Vision

I am sorry to hear about this

These complications are usually not seen following Filler Injections. Hence it is possible that they are part of a different problem not related to your Filler Injection

You have to undergo
1. Clinical Examination
2. Fundus Examination

I request that you consult a Neurosurgeon at the earliest

Coming to your question "Could I still possibly go blind ?Or would that already have happened?", since the Ophthalmologist has said that the Optic Nerve is OK, you need to worry about this

Hope you found the answer helpful.
Best Wishes for Speedy Recovery
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.

Hi,I have seen a neurologist and had an MRI of the brain and of the carotid. He had me touch my nose and do reflex tests as well etc.The injections were suppose to be Botox. Its me who believes they actually wrongly gave me filler..?Because I never had a problem like this with glabella Botox in the past ...If this truly was Botox would this happening to me all be possible still after 8 months?Thank you.

Brief Answer:
You can have these symptoms due to nerve damage

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Welcome Back to Health Care Magic

Since your symptoms have started 4 months after your injection, the chances are high that they are unrelated to the injection and due to some other causes

Q1
That being said,if there was nerve damage etc or damage to eye musckes could I still be having these symptoms at 8 months is what I mean
A1
You can have these symptoms due to nerve damage
But
Whether the damage is due to the injection or due to some other causes is the point of contention here

Thank you for all your follow up .I have two small children and have been to son many Drs appts.I honestly discouraged by the lack of help that any have given me which is what lead me on here .Lastnight I woke out of a sleep to the sound of what felt and sounded like rice crispies popping through my forhead and over the whole top of my head for a good minute.I was scared by it but after it passed I was able to fall back asleep and it didn't kill me.I have the feeling of fluid in my ears but have been told they are fine many times.I will remind you that my whole face is numb and I have XXXXXXX of pressure beside the nose and into the eye since this horrible injection.Do you think that what dispersed and swelled my head for months leaving me with a numb face and all of this could be related to this sound and sensation that happened?Thank you
