What Causes Dizziness?
Question: I had vertigo spell when I woke up one morning in November of last year and till this day I have the sensation that I am
Moving when I am still. I have been to 5, ent, who say it's not an inner ear problem they sent me to neurology, one says I have bppv and another said I had vertigo. Nothing spins on me, I get the sensation that I am moving, rocking while standing still. All mri and mra of head and brain and neck are normal. I dis accupuncture that helped a little but I still have it, now I am going to a cheipractor neurology and said that my left side of the cerebellum us weak and that's the reason for my off balance sensation... He did the epley and he said I do not have bppv or inner ear problem. It's been 5 months, what can this be, all bloodwork is normal. I am taking b2 and magnesium oxide as per 1 neurology who keeps wants to see me in 3 weeks. What are these vitamins good for? I have no headache just this odds sensation that I am moving when I stand still, unsteady in my feet.
Brief Answer:
hi. cebellar paresis causing dizziness
Detailed Answer:
Hi in my opinion you are having problem in central nervous system in cerebellum causing unsteadiness.
These are vitamin B 2 and magnesium oxide which are Neuro active drugs which Give strength for the brain and nervous system.
If I were your treating doctor would have asked you to
Do vestibular rehabilitation exercise along with these drugs for almost 6 weeks.this will improve the central compensation for balance.

my hearing test are normal… and they said this is not meneires since with meneires there is constant vertigo or vertigo that last more than 20 minutes. I don't have vertigo.. i just had it once… and left me with this irocking , moving sensation…
will this go away…. it is normal to have this after a vertigo spell.. i never ever had this before.
Brief Answer:
Vestibular rehabilitation exercise
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir,
Since you don't have any inner ear disease you need not be worried. If your chiropractor suspects cerebellar weakness radiological investigations such as MRI brain will be helpful. I did not find MRI brain report attached here. You can discuss about it with your neurologist.
I understand this symptom is troubling you; but do not be very concerned. I have seen patients improve a lot after 3 months of vestibular rehabilitation exercise. It is an useful therapy for all causes of vertigo and imbalance. I will suggest that you try vestibular rehabilitation exercise and physical rehabilitation for 6 weeks to 3 months along with vitamin supplements.
Continue your medication as per your neurologist opinion.
Take care.
