What Causes Dizziness, Nausea, Heart Palpitations, Breathlessness And Headache At Night?
Question: My wife is suffering from dizziness and nausea since a month and it happens any time of the day especially during late night and it accompanies with pain in the center of the head. Also during this time she feels fluttering of heart and shortness of breath. This problem is sometimes for short duration and at times continues for hours. Let me know if this is happening due to some deficiency of iron, folic acid or vitamins and needs any tests. Also let me know if any changes in diet are needed.
Brief Answer:
Evaluation after a physical examination...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the details submitted. There are few conditions that could explain this set of symptoms. Vitamin and mineral deficiency as you suspected are not the primary causes. Therefore vitamin and mineral analysis (tests) are the last to be done while evaluation,
That being said, specific tests that should be done can be listed only after careful physical examination. She will need a detailed neurological as well as cardiac examination first before tests can be performed.
So, in my opinion, the first step of action will be to visit a doctor, a physician or a cardiologist. Test will follow after detailed physical examination.
Hope this helps.
