Brief Answer:
Dehydration and reduced nutrition.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Inadequate nutrition and dehydration could be possible causes. All the symptoms point towards dehydration.
2. Dehydration could be the major cause. You need to improve hydration. Take plenty of water, atleast 6-8 liters per day.
3. Also maintain good nutrition.
4. For gas formation, take probiotics and yogurt. Take soluble fiber diet only directly from fruits and vegetables. Avoid insoluble fiber diet. You should get well within 2-3 days.
5. At all point, maintain good hydration and nutrition. Regular medication as prescribed is essential and should be continued, unless told not to.
6. For weak lower back, try mild muscle strengthening exercises. Start slowly along with calcium and protein intake. Muscle strengthening is necessary and exercises will also reduce further bone damage and give flexibility.

Nothing to worry for now. You will get along fine.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Take tasty food along with good hydration.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Look at other food options. Usual food, during periods of pain can make it boring and tastes/ smells funny. Try other foods or any food, which you might like. Regular water would be much better for now.
2. There is nothing wrong with taste buds or sensory buds. Try something different.
3. Before taking food, do a salt water gargling once.
4. Take plenty of water to compensate for sweats. Lightheaded feeling could be due to dehydration and now, reduced nutrition (possible hypoglycemia). Take rest. Avoid any possibility of fall.
5. Despite above things, if you are unable to eat food or get hydrated, you will need to see the doctor.

However, as you were recently evaluated, I doubt anything new will be found. You are recovering and during this phase, these symptoms are common. Forceful feeding and if necessary, anti emetics (if nausea feeling present) like domperidone can be taken.

Hope it helps.
