What Causes Dizziness, Balance Issues And Head Pain Post An Injury?

Question: Four weeks ago I hit my head (top of the head) on a metal pole, because I was too tall and din't see it. I was walking at normal pace. At the impact, my teeth rattled, which I never encountered before. But I didn't lose consciousness. Tried not to think more about it, only some local pain. Then after a meal the next day, I started feeling dizzy, and then again after a bried exercise in the evening, I felt nauseous and dizzy. The following weeks I felt not right, but quite minor symptoms (a bit hungover, some dizzy, very small balance problems), then later started to have some head pain at the top of the skull, at a higher point than the impact itself. It felt so high that I could almost touch the pain, and it would trigger by some normal activity like walking, being outside for a while. Rest would help. Three weeks had passed, and I decided to see doctor after I had started to become numb in the area between my left eye and left ear (some numbness, pressure, warmth). He checked my pupils were fine, and diagnosed me with a small brain contusion. But advised me no need CT, just monitor the situation. Since three weeks had passed, then shouldn't be anything to worry about. CT wouldn't necessarily show anything anyway. Another week has now gone by, I still feel not well. My left ear has started to become red and burning from time to time, the numbness has kind of disappeared though. Last night I felt some headache at the back of my head, and now feels like some radiation in this area. I have been using nasal sterioid spray daily for 15 years, maybe my skull has become weaker from it? Maybe I worry too much about it, trigger more weird feelings. But are there reasons to worry? I don't like new symptoms coming so long after the incident itself. But I guess they are still minor. What should I do?

Some more coments: The doctor I saw also said the skull pain maybe nerve related from a possible small bruise/swelling of the brain. Brain contusion sounds scary, but then much time has gone by and I wasn't unconscious at any point. Is the red and burning ear a cause for concern, since it is a recent symptom?

Brief Answer:
Get a CT

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you.
The fact remains that in your case, one scan should be done.
I would suggest testing a CT scan of the brain.
There might be minor bleed not picked up on clinical examination.
Also , I would suggest a prescription for anti anxiety medicines.
Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
