Question: I am facing difficulties in Conception. Trying that since last 9 months but no luck. Raised this query earlier and was asked to get serum progesterone test. I got it done on the 22nd day of my cycle. Please find attached the reports.
Please let me know what do the reports suggest.
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply:
1) The report you have attached is asking for a password. Hence please send the password or type in the progesterone value as per report which will help me to decide.
2) Please let me know if you have got HSG ( tubal patency test ) done for your self and semen analysis for your husband. If done please send me the report. If not done please get them done as they are very important.
3) You need to get ultrasound examination for follicular growth scan to check growth of eggs and best time to have intercourse.
4) Also let me know if you have taken any treatments like IUI
Let me know if you have any more queries or doubts. I would be glad to clear them for you.

I have not got any other tests done related to this problem. However I got lower abdomen ultrasound done one month back. This was done for the premenstruation bleeding problem that I have. The ultrasound did not capture anything, it was perfectly normal.
However, I still have this problem of premenstruation bleeding wherein dark brown colored blood starts getting discharged (starts with spotting and keeps increasing) from vagina 3-4 days before the actual bleeding starts.
Brief Answer:
Normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Your progesterone hormone levels are fine. No problem.
Your premenstrual spotting is not a problem. It happens in many women due to progesterone withdrawal.
I suggest you get the above mentioned test for you and your husband. These are basic tests which are important and give information about any possible problems.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you Dr. I was little concerned for the fact that the report mentions that normal levels are till 15.9 ng/ml but mine are 17.80 ng/ml.
Can you also please tell me what is meant by progesterone withdrawal? Can that anyhow affect my chances of conception?
Anyways, i will get the tests done and uploads the reports.
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Progesterone level is better if its in higher range. So it means there is no deficiency of progesterone. Its good to see that its high.
In the beginning of menstrual cycle there is sudden decrease in progesterone values which cause bleeding and its normal. SO there is nothing to worry. This bleeding is not related to not conceiving.
I suggest you please get HSG and semen analysis and upload the same. When you send the report please mention that " QUERY FOR DR. XXXXXXX KOREGOL" in the beginning of your question so that i can continue to get your questions.
