Brief Answer:
Detailed evaluation is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your description ,it seems that you are having enlarged prostate and having symptoms like difficult urination. BPH(benign prostatic hyperplasia) is quite common in elderly and nothing to worry in it. Highly effective treatment options are available. We have to rule out a cancerous growth before commencing the treatment.

I suggest you to consult a urologist and get the following things done:-
(1)- A PR(per rectal examination) and ultrasound scan is needed to confirm the diagnosis.
(2)- A biopsy might be needed to rule out the possibility of prostate cancer.
(3)- PSA(Prostate specific antigen) assay may be done as a routine.
As an initial therapy, the doctor may try medical management using drugs like tamsulosin(flomax) and finasteride.
If medical treatment is not effective, you might require surgical removal of prostate by simple procedure called TURP(trans urethral resection of prostate).
You have decrease the amount of fluid intake and alcohol consumption in order to control symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
Dr.Shinas Hussain
