What Causes Difficulty In Taking Deep Breaths?

Question: Hcm closed last thread
Having small trouble taking in deep breath this morning.
1. Been up since 3. And anxious
2. Current wife grumpy today
3. Job has too much to get done. Has me anxious.

I will assume that my breathing is the result of my stress and inflammation and anxiety.

All my life I have been able to force remaining air out of lungs. That amount that can be forced out. I still can do that today and it still is a small amount. From that I can safely assume I have no air trapping keeping my inflow limited. Also my pft showed only 103 on rv so there is no reserve air to trap.

So again I will say. Anxiety, inflamed small airways and stress.

Your last thread asked if I talked to my ex. Just a few texts now and again. I have to keep them deleted after I read them so not to be found out.

Oh. Some possible good news. I have been watching for employment so I can move when I get new employer. I made the outside effort to contact two of them yesterday directly and from that I was able to get my name and qualifications/resume up on top of list. Will see what can be done.

I forgot to include in list of mediators was to add two cats in house. Litter box. Dust from farmers plowing Manure from farm animals and cold weather. They trigger airway reactions. Along withbciggarett smoke.

Do any of your patients who quit smoking say they can't stand smell any longer. The. Patients I am talking of are copd asthma patients

This is pathetic stuff from HCM.
I still can't understand why they do so.
You are paying money for this, you are not asking for free. This is ridiculous stuff. Sorry for this.
Coming back to the question.. Yes, some of my COPD, asthma patients agreed only this, especially COPD patients.
But this does not mean that you are having COPD.
And may I ask you some personal questions?
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

I delete because I had an event take place last year that the current wife got in my phone when I was unconcious. Trying to help, she ended up reading messages from others and I do not trust her. I do not want to put a lock on it because everyone knows i do not lock it and I do not want to raise suspicion now.

If I can find the email message, I will copy and send as an upload to you. Its From HCM to another DR regarding my use of the account with you and the other dr. Its interesting to see what HCM sets as rules of use to the accounts.

I sent a thread with a few questions to my health and it never went through and now I must summarize.

I have an issue with breathing when I am exerting. I can't take a full breath, my abdominal area seems tight, not able to expand to let air in. Knowing that my pft says no air trapping and all say no lung disease, I can assume that the problem is central obesity pushing on diaphragm keeping it from expanding. Also when that happens my mind gets scared when I feel like breathing is problematic. So then I raise the anxiety and inflammation to the airways. Making airflow more limited.

Is this though sound logical

Brief Answer:
Yes, this is partially true.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, this is partially true. This is not 100% true.
Actually, abdominal obesity is not the only causative factor.
Stress and anxiety related inflammation in the airways is the causative factor. Abdominal obesity adds to this.
So your problem starts with combination of stress, anxiety and abdominal obesity. And this gives you more panic, more stress and anxiety, so it become more severe.
So in my opinion, for your initiation of symptoms, only abdominal obesity is not responsible.
I think, main contributor is still stress and anxiety.
If it is only abdominal obesity then you should have symptoms during whole day, whole night because this obesity is static and remains as it is. Since you are having fluctuations in symptoms which correlate with stress levels, possibility of stress as main causative factor is more.
Please let me know
1. Do you agree on this?
2. Do you feel breathing difficulty whole day, whole night?

So I just got done eating dinner, I ate a very small steak and a small potato and a salad. This meal filled and caused stomach to press up Not much but some.

Yes I agree that I have no issues at night when sleeping. But when awake my thinking leads me to have breathing issues

Ok, driving home my thoughts fell back on the last 4 breathing attacks that set off panic. I can match them to a case of high stress. These are events that I never quite picked up on the triggers. I think I will record them so I do not use them as the lone cause of sob.

Oh thanks for the explanation of the obesity and inflammation.

I am not sure if I have taken them or not I'll have to see

I thank you for the explanation on obesity and anxiety and stress caused inflammation. I woke with the feeling of abdominal pressing and upper chest limited inhaling

I just finished reading an article on inflammation. It talked of inflammation tightening up the airways. Making it hard for air to get in and to get out. Then it said it can constrict the airways making it worse. The
It's of triggers did have pets, dust, odors like cigarette. Smoke. And the big one anxiety-stress-and strong emotions.

It also listed that inflammation will be higher in the morning

So I am gonna look back over your explanation I need to reduce my stress and worries. I need to find the distraction.

Brief Answer:
It's strange that you are stressed even on Sunday morning.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I think you should not read such articles or find such stuff on Internet. This will make you more tense.
From the very first conversation, I am in favour of stress and anxiety related inflammation in your case. So we should definitely remove stressors from your life to achieve control in symptoms.
One of the biggest stressor in your life is your marital issue.
Until you solve this, your stress and inflammation won't come down.
It's strange that you are having stress even on Sunday morning.
Are you sharing bed with your current wife? Is it work related stress or wife related?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

My stress is every morning. I believe it's from worrying about all the things I have to do today. Now having things to do would not be so bad normally but I am trying to relax and these things seem to keep me from that desire to rest and relax. Waking up in the middle of the night is no help if I do not go back to sleep.

Yes I agree, I need to exit this marital relationship. Again the sooner the better. But I have to get employed so I can move out up north first
