What causes difficulty in remembering things of present and past?

Question: I'm XXXXXXX and I don't know if I have adhd or not. I had a really bad accident on March 9/14. A friend told me that I had to see a doctor because she thinks I might have adhd. I'm 48 and I do have a hard time remembering things past and present. I get frustrated with people who stupid people and their knowing everything. Their not doctors. So I thought I'd come here and get maybe a suggestion on how to handle it if I am. What doctor to go to for it.

You have difficulty in remembering things of present and past.
This sole symptom does not qualify for ADHD. It is actually diagnosed based on set criteria for ADHD.
Your forgetfulness may be an after-effect of accident or any other cause (physical or psychological).

I would suggest you to consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and assessment. The treatment will be decided once appropriate diagnosis is made.
