Brief Answer:
Syrup ascoril d and ascoril L 's are not cause for breathing problem .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that your son are most probably having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) .

In my opinion , Syrup ascoril d and ascoril L 's are not cause for breathing problem . In fact this syrups will decrease breathing problem.

Your son breathing problem may be because of following reasons
1) Nose blockage due to infection , adenoid hypertrophy & deviated nasal septum . Do X ray (Nasopharynx lateral view) to rule out adenoid hypertrophy which is common in children .
2) Bilateral tonsils hypertrophy which can be seen on examination .
3) Larynx infections
4) Lower respiratory track infection

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
consult ENT specialist for ENT examination & get x ray done to know cause for breathing problem.

Till then use
Steam Inhalation twice daily &
Saline nasal spray thrice daily .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
