Question: I m feeding mom, I did not get my periods in march which was due on 24th. My hcg home tests were negitive. Did them on 29th and then 3rd April.i was recommended to take meprate 10 mg twice a day for 5 days and stop. Took them from15th April to 19th April.. No periods yet. Is there a chance that I m pregnant? I m not prepared for it? I don't have any pregnancy symtoms.

Brief Answer:
Wait for 2-3 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy , stress or hormonal imbalances.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out.
Hormonal disturbances can be due to to hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia or due to breast feeding.
The withdrawal bleeding can occur anywhere between 5-7 days after stopping the meprate.
So, I will suggest you to wait for 2-3 days.If by then ,there are no periods then you should get the thyroid and prolactin hormone levels tested and get further treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
