What Causes Delay In Periods With Negative UPT?

Question: we had sex a day before her period and nest day day she missed it, the within 72 hours of our intimation i gave contraceptive pill, but still she dint get her period, she also has UTI, now she is suffering from sever abdominal pain, back pain, sour taste on her tounge and severe vomiting, but she also felt the pain of getting her period since last two days, would it be possible that she is pregnant or it may be the case of severe UTI, please guide me and if possible then suggest me the medicines, she has negative home remedy pregnancy test result.

Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) She is unlikely to be pregnant.

2) If still in confusion get serum beta hCG blood test done to rule out pregnancy.

3) Please give urine for culture and sensitivity test if UTI is suspected. You can take antibiotics after report comes.

4) These symptoms appear just before periods. Since you have taken contraception, periods might be delayed by few days. Wait for a week

Hi

The abortion procedure can only be done after examining by ultrasound scan. These suggest the location of gestational sac and if it is possible to terminate.

If it is ectopic pregnancy it is not possible to terminate with these drugs. It needs different drugs or surgery.

If abortion is done without scan it might lead to life threatening complications.
