What causes delay in menstruation and slight spotting?

Question: Hi, I am currently 2 days late for my period. On the at my period was due I had a couple of hours of spotting but only when I wiped, since then nothing but a little pink tinged mucus. What could this mean. I'm normally a 27 day cycle like clockwork.

Have you done an unprotected sex?
Have you done your home urine pregnancy test?
Are you having any other symptoms?
Are you taking any type of medication or on pills?
