Brief Answer:
Other hormonal disorders should be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal imbalance like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia or polycystic ovarian syndrome.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out.
Since your thyroid hormone levels are normal, ither hormonal imbalance should be ruled out getting prolactin levels and ultrasound tested and further treatment should be done accordingly.
This is because the these disorders are commonly associated with hypothyroidism.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Answered by Dr. Deepti Verma (19 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be wrong

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, the urine pregnancy test is unlikely to be wrong unless the kit is defective.
You can confirm by doing a urine pregnancy test with a kit of different brand ( I can, Velocit).
