What Causes Dark Freckles On The Upper Arms?
Question: Hello....I'm attaching two images from my upper arm where I have two larger freckles. They are flat and I've just noticed that the bottom one appears a bit darker, although honestly it could always have been that way and I just haven't noticed (I've had some health anxiety lately and have been checking spots on my skin).
I have a few questions:
1) Do the spots look normal to you (I do go for yearly skin cancer screenings with a dermatologist)?
2) is it normal for freckles (I presume these are caused by sun exposure) to darken?
3) I'm currently in perimenopause and have noticed more freckles appearing...can hormonal changes and the decrease in estrogen cause more dark spots to appear and existing spots to darken?
