Brief Answer:
Chest x ray should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having hemoptysis (blood in sputum).
Most common cause for this is lung infection or bronchitis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
Treatment is based on diagnosis.

Hello Doctor XXXXXXX

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I smoke sometimes maybe 2-3 per week and I do not have any weight loss or fever.

Now the blood spit has almost stopped and I hardly see anything now.

What is that you suggest for me to do in this case.

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
First of all quit smoking.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
First of all quit smoking. Smoking is very bad habit. It affects almost all organs of the body. So stop smoking immediately.
Since your hemoptysis is subsided and you don't have fever and weight loss, no need for further testing.
But quit smoking without any delay.
Hope I have solved your query.
