Hello Heather!

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I understand your concerns and read your query properly.I feel that you are not forming proper stool bulk in your intestines, because of which you are not getting that pressure or urge to defecate.

You should definitely focus on a healthy diet with 3-4 meals a day , which should include green vegetables and fruits. If i were to be your dcotor i would check parathyroid and thyroid hormones too.

Follow all these meanwhile;

Stop taking iron supplements
Eat a high fibre diet
Get some exercise

If after following all this, you do not feel comfortable enough, you should go for a colonoscopy for your symptoms.

Hope i answered your query.Feel free to ask more.

Hello XXXXXXX

Welcome back

I cannot confirm you that if this does not work, you need surgery or not, because before it, you need to undergo some more investigations like colonoscopy

As you said your tongue is white and you are exhausted, you might have anemia. Please go for a hemoglobin check. In the meanwhile please eat good, like
dark-green leafy vegetables, such as watercress and curly XXXXXXX
iron-fortified cereals or bread
brown rice
pulses and beans
nuts and seeds
meat, fish and tofu
eggs
dried fruit, such as dried apricots, prunes and raisins.

Hope i helped.Feel free to ask more.I would be happy to help you.
