What Causes Constipation, Vomiting And Fatigue?

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Jun 2014
Question: My daughter has chronic constipation
And fatigue. She poops about once a week and has had vomiting recently. I give her Miralax daily and pedialax enemas. I just don't understand the fatigue - is it related? She had blood work done awhile ago and it was negative. We are going to see a new GI doctor next week. At least her appetite has improved after she had a large bowel movement on Sunday.

Brief Answer:
no,look for other causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The fatigue may be related to her vomiting.

See that she gets enough fluid intake.

Hope anemia has been ruled out by blood tests( for fatigue) as well as thyroid function tests ( as a treatable cause for constipation)

Assessment by a pediatric gastro doctor is absolutely indicated.

Good luck
