Hypertension(high blood pressure) is a multifactorial condition and after it is installed needs long term treatment probably for all life. It can't be cured ( in the meaning that you take medication for some time and it is cured) but it can be controlled by taking medications regularly. It is vary important to keep your blood pressure under control because an untreated hypertension can leads to serious complications such as a stroke,heart disease,kidney damage and eye damage.(high blood pressure damage small blood vessels in all organs ) I don't recommend you to stop your treatment.Natural herbs can help but can not substitute drugs. If your only problem was constipation you should consult your doctor and he can prescribe you some other drug that has not this side effect but not to abandon the treatment. The goal of treatment of high blood pressure is to keep a BP near normal value so near 120/80. If your blood pressure for most of the days near this than maybe you don't need medication but if your BP is higher you should keep taking the drug.
