Brief Answer:
Likely to be normal white discharge.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

White discharge is a normal observation throughout the cycle.

Based on the phase of the menstrual cycle, due to the effects of hormones, it varies in consistency from thick in the early part of the cycle, to thin and watery at the time of ovulation, just before a period and also during pregnancy.

If there is no associated itching, foul smell, irritation and burning, there is no need to get additional treatment. If, on the other hand, symptoms appear, treatment should ensue after a pap smear, vaginal swab and urinalysis.

Transparent fluid from the vagina is usually observed at the time of ovulation, just before the onset of a period and also during pregnancy.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Need a vagnal swab.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

If you have foul smell associated with the discharge, you should get a proper clinical evaluation by an expert. You should also get a vaginal swab and a pap smear and urinalysis.

Appropriate treatment is given after identifying the causative factor. Please do not douche or use strong soap solutions over the soft parts; use mild antiseptic solutions instead.

If you have the habit of using tampons during a period, please switch to usage of sanitary pads.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please get back if you need any more suggestions. I will be available to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Brief Answer:
Not to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

There is nothing much to worry. Just get a clinical exam and if the doctor feels it necessary, go for the tests mentioned. Please maintain genital hygiene and also the precautions suggested. Do not use sanitary napkins for longer hours, but change them every six hours.
