Question: Hi, i have been experiencing chronic headaches for years now, with me having minor-severe headches everyday. I have had scalp pain for months and months now with my losing a huge amount of hair especially where my scalp has been painful. When I have the headaches a feel a lot of a pressure all over my head. These headaches have given me depression and anxiety and with me losing so much hair that is giving me much more anxiety. I have wake up around 15 times a night with the headaches and a tender scalp and irritation. I have been to multiple doctors all having different theories, I have been tried with a lot of deferent medication over the years but doctors have never taken me seriously. Saying things like the pain is all In your head etc, I can assure you my headaches are very real and my scalp problem is very real! I am currently on sertraline 50mg a day and i was on pregabalin 75mg 3 times a day but the pregabalin didnt do anything and the sertraline only surpasses the anxiety. So i am still left with my headaches every day and my scalp is constatly painful, i need a doctor to take me seriously and give me the right help i need in order for me to enjoy my life.

Brief Answer:
Get evaluated by a headache expert and take measures as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The constant headache you are suffering is probably chronic tension type headcahe.
Non response to treatment may be due to pain killer overuse termed as medication overuse headache.
You need to get evaluated by a headache expert.
For treatment of medication overuse headache you need to get detoxified by stopping all pain killers for about 10-14 days. A short course of steroid can be given.
Other methods of relaxation like yoga, meditation, proper sleep and rest can be tried.
For hair fall investigations like thyroid profile, vitamin B12 and blood sugar should be done.
Brain imaging is required if there is any visual loss, hearing difficulty, motor deficits, seizures.
Sertraline can be increased if not getting adequate results.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
