Brief Answer:
Seems to be insect bite hypersensitivity reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic

I have reviewed the attached photograph and according to me it seems to be insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.

Apart from face where are these lesions present?

Are these solid bumps or fluid filled blisters?

What is the duration of these bumps?

Regards

But how possible? I did not expose myself to any one infected. I am also at my mid 20s, precisely 26yrs old. So how come?

Brief Answer:
Explanation below

Detailed Answer:
Chicken pox spreads by droplet infection that is while a infected person is talking, sneezing or coughing. A person is infectious 4-5 days before the appearance of the rash. You might have contracted the infection from some person who has not developed the rash yet but was contagious.

Regarding your age anyone who has not developed chicken pox in childhood can develop chicken pox at any stage of life. In rare cases it can even recur in persons who have already developed chicken pox. hope this was hepful.

Helpful though. I believe it's not gonna lead to something else.
And what can I do or use for early recovery?

Brief Answer:
take antiviral medication, majority of persons don't get complications

Detailed Answer:
In majority of the persons it doesn't cause any complications if antivirals are taken.

In such cases I recommend my patients to take a course of antiviral medicine like tablet Valciclovir 1 gram thrice daily for 1 week along with antihistaminic tablet Levocetrizine 5 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.

These are prescription medicines and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

You can apply calamine lotion on the spots 2-3 times in a day. Don't rub or scratch the marks as it can lead to permanent scars. Let the dry scabs fall off on their own.

It will take 2-3 weeks for complete recovery.

Wish you speedy recovery. Regards.
