Question: Clear discharge some times watery some mucus tender breast - have not had period in almost 2 years . Just had a sonogram and tech told me I have polyps 2 fibroids and cyst on both ovaries. She said there was also fluid in uterus . One cyst she said looks like it about to be absorbed and if I had not told her I was post menopause she would have thought I was about to have a period. She said one is dangling of my left ovary.
Could this be cancer --

Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) At post-menopausal stage, ovarian cyst and fibroid or polyps will REGRESS automatically over the time WITHOUT any medical intervention or treatment if you DON'T have other clinical features like vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain etc.

2) Most of the ovarian cysts and fibroid are BENIGN in nature. However, you can undergo blood test for CA-125 and histopathological examination of ovarian cyst to know the nature of the cyst. It will be more worthwhile and you must consult with your doctor following test report.

3) Serum prolactin level and one mammography should be carried out to pinpoint the diagnosis regarding clear discharge from breast. It is MOSTLY physiological and seen in few percentage women only.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Brief Answer:
MILD CLEAR DISCHARGE IS NORMAL.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for giving additional information. I apologize for misunderstanding.

Mild clear to mucus vaginal discharge is NORMAL thing among post-menopausal women if their is NO bad smell or itching. You just maintain your genital hygiene properly. Use vaginal pH maintaining gel like VAGISIL or RepHresh etc to avoid any kind vaginal infection.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.
