The bottom line is that I have chronic pain throughout my body...back surgery and a knee replacement.
I need a pain killer without opiates that will get me out of pain and also let me walk!

Brief Answer:
It's a short list.

Detailed Answer:
There are nerve acting agents like amitryptiline, lyrica, gabapentin ; there are aspirin like drugs including ones that sit on an area like a patch. There is tens units. There is tramadol which has some mild narcotic and some mild nerve pain drug properties.

I am currently taking gabapentin for nerve pain associated with PAD. I am experiencing aches in my legs, shoulder and back and was wondering if this is a common side effect. FYI, I previously had taken Lyrica and don t remember having these problems.

I'm a 48 year old white male, around 205 pounds (weight is up & down by 5 pounds), had a 4 level lumbar fusion in 2006, was very active to that point. The surgery, although made my spine stable, left me with a lot of nerve pain. In 2007, I was diagnosed with asthma, there was plural fluid in the right lung. So I'm battling both pain and asthma, with fluid build up some. More recently, I had swelling of the ankles & feet, was seen by a heart specialist, after a complete set of tests, my heart was fine. I've been on Furosemide 40mg for fluid (since 12/10), it was somewhat under control.
The last week or so, my ankles & feet, as well as my lower legs, are swelling again (worse), even though I'm on the water pill mentioned above. I don't know what to do, I go to the doctor, my blood counts looks good, prior to going to the heart doctor, I had to go to the ER for what amounted to be severe constipation, high white blood cell counts were noted. My legs are also tingly.
What can I do?

Alright, so the past few days it feels like all my arms, legs and back and neck is hurting like..erm.. nerve pain, like sensitive pain (not touching, it randomly comes and hurts) Now, I ve started to randomly within a few hours have dark and looking up close like burning sort of spots which replace the skin color to like a burntish brown. I also have tingling pains around random parts of my body at random times. Not only that, my ankles are hurting a bit, my chest hurts (rare ish) and a few days ago it hurt under my heart. I don t know what to do, and I m only 15 years of age. Of course, I m just seeking a little advice.
