What Causes Choking Sensation In Throat Post Anesthesia Treatment?
Question: I have had gall bladder removal surgery and an anesthestia tube was placed in my throat. Since it has been removed from the surgery, i have felt like I'm choking on mucus and my glands in my neck seem stiff.
Is it normal to feel like I'm choking? I feel like there is mucus stuck in my throat when I swallow which is preventing me from sleeping. Of course, the sore throat still exist. Should I be alarm.

a. Dryness in the throat due to being nil my mouth and pre-medication.
b. Irritation of the sensitive linings of the throat and larynx by the ETT (Endo-Tracheal Tube) used during the general anesthesia.
c. Post nasal drip or acid reflux.
2. This may last a day or two. Use a medicated gargle and Mucaine Gel to soothe the throat.
3. Thick secretions and acid reflux released during the anesthesia from the nose , sinuses and stomach may be a cause. Draw the attention of your healthcare providers. They can prescribe anti-reflux , mucolytic medication as well as a mild anti-inflammatory medication.
4. Usually, this is transient and requires no active management.

Also my glands around my throat which is my outer neck seems
