What Causes Chest Pain While Laughing After Treating Flu?

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: I have had flu-like symptoms for the past 24 hours and now my chest hurts when I laugh. Have a 99.2 fever, nothing too bad, am not coughing regularly and am planning to go see the doctor tomorrow morning. Using Advil and over-the-counter sinus meds. Just want to make sure I can afford to wait until tomorrow morning to see the doctor. I am 53 years old, in good health and do not have any history over hearth problems.

Brief Answer:
you can get yourself clinically examined tomorrow.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that you might be having a viral infection. It takes about 7 - 10 days for full recovery. You can get yourself clinically examined and investigated by your doctor. You can take an antihistamine and paracetamol for your symptoms. Drink lots of water daily. Further can be planned according to your clinical evaluation done by your doctor.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
