What causes chest pain on the left side?

Question: I m 30 years old.I had high triglycerides due to too much usage of alchohal and non veg near about 450. But now after 6 months it is 200. I m taking regularly medicine and have a walk of one hour daily.But I always feel too much stress in the left side of chest. (Only stretch not pain). Tmt and Echo are okay.What should I do?

Hi .

I understand your concern.

The left side chest discomfort is possibly related to anxiety.

Heart disease can be comfortably ruled out based on normal TMT and Echo.

Its good that your TG level has dropped by half.

Continuation of the physical exercise and cut down of alcohol and non veg will further control your blood lipid levels.

Destress yourself with daily Yoga and meditation as well.

Follow up: Dr. Prasanna Heijebu (2 days later)
Tomorrow my Bp was 150/100. I took amlong 5 mg. Now Bp is okay. Should I tale amlong regularly? Doctor prescribed me it for ten days. I am feeling too much stress in the left side of chest. Tmt and Echo are okay. Should I try angiography.?

Hi

You need to take amlong for 10 days only as prescribed.

Angiography is too big an investigation for your age .

Hence I do not recommend it .

Anxiolytics if used for 6-8 months will cause all symptoms to cease.
