Brief Answer:
Lifestyle modification is very important.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query as well as the attached reports. The MRI of cervial spine shows serious problems that require to be handled with priority. Spinal traction should provide relief but you need to consult a physical therapist first.

About your palpitations, I would need to know specifically if it lasts throughout the day or whether it is periodic. The BP is very high and needs desperate control. You need to let go of stress. Eat simple healthy diet with limitations over total salt intake. You also need to walk briskly regularly in the morning. It is very important to take the medicines religiously and to monitor the BP periodically. Based on the findings, medication might need to be modified. The echocardiography seems normal and you need not worry about that.

Let me know if you have any further queries and I would be glad to help.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to PSVT.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

If the palpitations are occasional, they could be due to a condition called paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT). It is a harmless condition that does not need any treatment unless the palpitation is too troubling for you.

The spinal traction would not give you a higher blood pressure. If the blood pressure is more in the night, the doses need to be suitably timed. It could be that the blood pressure is rising after the effect of the medicines is wearing off.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Brief Answer:
24 hrs ECG monitoring should help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

It is good that you are taking concor 7.5 mg at 9 pm. If the problem persists, another antihypertensive medicine might need to be added along. Concor is a beta blocker and should have done the job. Anyway, if the problem persists, it would be advisable to get a 24 Hours ECG Holter Monitoring done.

You should also get the lipid profile checked. If you have a positive family disease for heart disease, it might be worthwhile to start statins right from this age.

Your marriage proposals need not be affected. Numerous people around have heart disease and are living smoothly till their seventies or beyond. That does not stop them from marrying. But you need to keep stress in check. Meditation and yoga should help.
